More Moors: Behind the Curtain of Studio Theatre's latest production | October 3 - Oct. 19
The University of Alberta’s Studio Theatre presents Jen Silverman’s dark comedy, The Moors, from October 10-18 at Timms Centre for the Arts, directed by MFA thesis candidate Alissa Watson. Set in “the bleak moors…of England” in “1840…ish”, two isolated sisters obsess over the arrival of a naive governess, leading the family down a deranged path fueled by power and desire. With an abundance of queer romance, sisterly bloodlust, and existential talking animals, The Moors nods to the letters, lives, and literature of the Brontë family. This display highlights the dramaturgical and creative process of bringing Silverman's mysterious world to life.
Organized by the Department of Drama at the University of Alberta in partnership with the University of Alberta Library.
