Using Generative AI in Research - A session for graduate student supervisors

Cohosted by the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and the University of Alberta Library. 

Are you interested in discovering how AI tools can enhance your research experience? Are you unsure how to advise your graduate students in using AI in their research? Join us for an engaging online session to explore the fundamentals of AI, including how these tools operate and the key differences between grounded and ungrounded AI.

You'll learn how to effectively integrate AI into every phase of the research lifecycle while considering important factors like academic integrity and potential challenges. We'll also provide practical tips on evaluating and citing AI-generated content. We look forward to seeing you there!
