Docker: Introduction to the Ecosystem
Docker is an easy-to-use virtual server environment: you can use it to spin up a service on your machine that would otherwise require its own server. This is useful for development and for exploring new services.
Objective: You will get Docker installed on your machine and use it to spin up a simple service. You will gain a basic understanding of the parts that go to make up a service and how they are configured. You will then gain familiarity with the world of Docker resources, how to find the service you need, and how to use it safely.
