Research Communications: Advanced Photography Techniques

Research Communications: Advanced Photography Techniques

In this workshop, we will explore different styles and techniques of photography. We will learn the use and advantages of studio lighting and look into processing RAW format images. The workshop will also explore the tradition of the photo essay and how photography can be used a both a research method and form of research communication. While the DSC does not have prequistes for workshops, we strongly recommend you have taken the Digital Photography Basics prior to attending this workshop.

She holds both an MLIS and an MA in Communications and Technology. In addition to her work at the University of Alberta, she is a freelance photographer and graphic designer.
