Research Communications: Video Editing With Premiere Pro

Research Communications: Video Editing With Premiere Pro

In this workshop we will dive into Adobe Premiere Pro for an indepth video editing session. In addition to technical processes in editing, we will discuss the power of the editing phase; how a change in pace or using unique cuts completely change the tone and meaning of a project. Using examples from other videos and feature films, this workshop will take a holistic approach to video creation, examining how technical choices communicate meanings. We will explore how we can use cuts and point of view to reaching audiences with emotion and visual rhetoric. Although DSC workshops do not have prerequisites we highly recommend you have some experience using Adobe Premiere Pro or have taken Video Production Basics before joining this workshop.

What you will need: The workshop will present demos from Adobe Premiere Pro but participants will not require access to the software for the duration of the workshop.
