Where Do Our Ideas About Witchcraft Come From?

Where Do Our Ideas About Witchcraft Come From?

Instructors: Robert Desjardins (FGSR) and Linda Quirk (Peel).  This workshop is especially designed for those who were fascinated by the award-winning digital exhibition Tinctor’s Foul Treatise and who may have read the translation—The Arras Witch Treatises, edited and translated by Andrew Gow, Robert Desjardins, and François Pageau—available in ebook and print formats through U of A Libraries, and who are interested in getting a closer look at this special Medieval manuscript and other related materials.  This will be the last chance to participate in this popular workshop for at least a couple of years because there are plans to send the manuscript away for repair.

This series of workshops is designed to offer a wide range of hands-on and experiential learning opportunities in special collections. Everything you want to know about Peel Workshops can be found on the Bruce Peel Special Collections website here.
