One of the major barriers to OER creation and adaptation is the lack of incentives, particularly recognition in relation to promotion and tenure.  Participants will hear from a range of UofA members with their perspectives on how open educational work is recognized on campus and what could or should be done to enhance acknowledgement for open educational practices.

Participants will leave this panel with an interest in exploring OER for their own course materials and raise the topic of recognition and acknowledgement of open educational practices within their faculty, specific to FEC and faculty recognition.
